Skipscreen not run in Firefox 4

temporary solution:

1. download addon from:
https://www.skipscreen.com/install/sk...

2. unpack skipscreen_latest_self.xpi with winzip or winrar or any other unpacker

3. edit install.rdf file:
change line:

to


4. save

5. pack all previously unpacked files with modified install.rdf file using WinZip

6. change extension from .zip to .xpi

7. drag and drop this new file to firefox and install => voila - WORKING!

Thanks for the trick. As a temporary solution is better, but SkipScreen people should gettiing ready and solve this definitely release soon a new version compatible with FF4, and not hoping that users "will pull the chestnuts out of fire". Thanks again.

As of March 26, 2011, the SkipScreen on Firefox's add-on page works: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire....

The one on here (the better one) isn't compatible with Firefox 4.

I'm not sure what you mean. Like most forum users, I don't have any affiliation with SkipScreen in any way.

But... the one I installed from the official site isn't working. The screens move, but nothing downloads.
