Correct vs incorrect score weights

Why do wrong answers deduct far more points than correct answers will add?? It sometimes takes 5-10 correct answers to make up for 1 incorrect one!

  • Hi Eric,

This can be really frustrating, but it's a sign that the test you're taking is extremely competitive.

Your Badge Score is a representation of your rank versus the other people who have taken the test; It's not just how many questions you've gotten right and wrong, but how your score compares to the rest.

Getting a question wrong in a popular test (especially at higher skill levels) is like falling behind in a race; catching up can be difficult, unless you're making fewer mistakes than the people ahead of you.

But if you do manage to reach one of the higher levels of skill, it's really an accomplishment to be proud of!
