Definition of Status on Author Page

I can't find anywhere on the Author page or in the Support section what "Status" means next to submitted questions on the Author page. Can someone point me to the explanation of that page?

  • Hi,

It is a percentage value which shows how close your question is to get published.

As far as I see, when you added a question, It is checked by "smarterer" first. Until then status field will be empty.

After a question is approved, it goes to Nursery where people answer and rate question. As rates and answers increase, so is status of your question.

    Sorry for my broken English.

Erdoğan is correct: The percentage indicates how close a Question is to being fully approved in the system.

This percentage normally starts at 0% and increases as the Question is answered; if a Question receives negative feedback (represented as red "Flags"), this can slow down or halt the progress of the Question until a moderator intervenes.

Currently, if a question is Rejected and removed from a test, it does not appear on the Author page; This is something we hope to address in the near future, so that authors can receive feedback and have the option to "recycle" questions that didn't make the cut.

We need to add more info to the Author page in general, but we'd be happy to answer any other questions you have in the meantime.

    Thanks,

    - Dave
