Total Candidate History (compiled)

I do not believe the system currently does this, but I would like to see if there is a return candidate (applying for multiple positions at various times) that the history would pull all data related to that candidate to see (i.e. 12/1 applied to xyz job, 12/4 rejected, 12/10 applied to abc job, 12/17 rejected, 12/20 applied to mno job, 1/4 hired, etc.). As it is now, I believe we only see the history related to a particular job that they applied to and cannot tell if they are a returning applicant and what other position(s) they may have applied for. Woud like to see this enhanced :-)

    I’m unsure
The current log is supposed to track and consolidate everything that happens to a candidate independent of the jobs that they may be assigned to. See Example below. Is that not what you're seeing ?

  • I don't believe this is the case if they apply for one position and then come back later and apply for a different position.

HR in PA, what you suggested is a great idea. It would definitely help all of us in tracking an applicant's entire history of applying to a company. Until SR makes a decision on this, you could workaround it this way (if it is urgent for you).

Search for an applicant name and I believe it will pull up all the positions he/she has/had applied for and then you can click on individual records and see the details. An applicant usually applies for a reasonable number of positions (not all) to a company so the list of records will not be too long....maybe this will help you for the time being...

  • Is there any update to this feature? My company is in the initial stages of using your great software and this would be an excellent function to have. I know in my past jobs, the ATS was set to bar applicants from submitting new applications if the email address they were trying to use was already in the ATS. The applicant would instead have to log in as a returning applicant and submit the new application or use a different email address.

Dave, as posted above you can access each candidate's history and logs in the "History" section of their profile.

A new applicants report is also coming next, you can find out more in this this related thread .

Currently there are no restrictions on your applicants so they can apply to multiple positions.

  • Nik - I don't believe this is the case. I have a candidate that has applied 4 times to the same position and each is not compiled in the history. If I look at his history, it only shows that he applied once, but has him listed as 4 candidates with the same e-mail address. I too have worked with other systems and when someone comes to the ATS site, it asks them if they are a returning applicant or new applicant. If they select a new applicant, but use an e-mail that has previously been used, they cannot set up a new account under that e-mail. They have to go in through the original account, at which time it will show them what positions they have applied to and will not allow them to apply for a 2nd time under a requisition (can apply for the same position under another req number though, as there could be multiple openings.). The issue is not allowing them to apply for multiple positions, it is allowing them to apply multiple times for the same requisitioned position. Hopefully this clarifies it a little more.
    • Oh, this has been discussed so many times...SR, please look into this...this would help avoid a lot of redundant data and provide accurate reports. We had to report the EEO/AAP statistics this year (for 2010) to the government but since a candidate can apply n number of times to a single job adv, I had to manually type in the spreadsheets and that was so time consuming and boring...You guys are making great progress with so many features. Please take time to resolve this issue as well....It will make things easier for us!!
