For automated SMS it would be helpful:
1) in the When to send reminder for an option to be added that is '2 days before (Sun-Thu)'
2) in addition to the right click cancel scheduled email on the appointment book, add an option to 'send scheduled email now'
Explanations of why:
1) Our cancellation policy is by 11am the previous business day. Wording wise it is clearer to say call by 11am tomorrow in the sms. For this to work we need the sms reminders for Monday to be sent on Thursday (and are happy with the reminders for Tuesday to be sent on Sunday).
2) when there is a public holiday scheduled (or weekly at the moment to get around the above issue) it would be easy enough to go through and pre-send scheduled emails from the appt book rather than having to manually create the sms and then delete the scheduled email.
