What is the basic difference between half adder and full adder
What is the basic difference between half adder and full adder

Full adder accepts three one bit and generates a sum and carry out. Whereas half adder as accepts only two one bit to generate sum and carry.

Half adder does not have carry in input, Full adder has it. carryout both have.

why do we need carry at output

in half adder use only two input and not carry but in full adder use two or more input and consists carry
bygautam,,,,,,

Half adder does not have input to handle carry from the previous lower significant position(previous stage) where as the full adder takes into account the carry from the previous stage.
