Is there a way to listen to Last.fm stations the same way I can listen to Shoutcast radios? I specially like the MashTape integration with Shoutcast stations and would love it for Last.fm too

I was too exited and forgot to ask: will it also integrate with MashTape?

Yep, if you're playing a song through last.fm radio, it will show up in there too..

It's been implemented, just update the Last.fm add-on or install it if you haven't done it already

I'm not impressed...
It doesn't find my last stations ("letzte Sender") on the last fm page there are four stations listed, that i listened to recently, the songbird last fm page does not show them.

And when I listen to the radio, tha station, the now playing artist, song and album are shown, but when i click on it, I'm not directed to the now playing artist, song or album, the link ONLY leads to the radio station.

Also it would be nice to have the "tagging" "love song" and so on buttons implemented.

So for now it is more comfortable to visit last fm with mozilla firefox and use the mozilla lastfm player (fire.fm) add on!

But I'm really looking forward to improvements and will use songbird anyway...

I just installed nightly buid Songbird 1.2.0 and reinstalled ALL Add-ons.

And for some to me unknown reason it shows my "recently played" correct.
Didn't do this before...
nice job!!!
But the link when i click on the title/artist in the controlpanel still is not working!
only leads to the now playing last.fm radio station, not to the actual now playing artist.

SB has done an excellent work with this. Since it showed up, I have been using it massively and I couldn't be happier.

The problems came now and SB has nothing to do with them. If, like me, you live outside of the USA, UK and Germany you probably know what I'm talking about.

Just like last.fm states in their blog: "listeners to Last.fm Radio outside of the USA, UK and Germany will be asked to subscribe for €3.00 per month, after a 30 track free trial period. In the USA, UK and Germany, where it’s feasible to run an ad-supported radio service, there won’t be any changes. Everything else on Last.fm (scrobbling, recommendations, charts, biographies, events, videos etc.) will remain free in all countries, like it is now."

I feel this to be terribly unfair, not to mention that SB's add-on is now useless to whoever lives elsewhere in the world.

The question is if SB can do anything about it? I ask this because last.fm mentions something else on their blog. They say: "Updating developers using our Radio API: third-party apps that stream Last.fm Radio will have full access to the Radio API, so streaming will work provided the user that logs in is a subscriber. (All other APIs remain free/unchanged)".

If this means that despite the restrictions last.fm is imposing one could still listen to its radios through SB then I suppose there would be a lot more people starting to listen to SB.

Can someone from SB say anything about this?

Thanks and, once again, thank you for all your wonderful work!

Sorry, there's nothing we can really do. :( We've updated the add-on to use the new Last.fm Radio APIs - but they are still subject to Last.fm's geo & API restrictions, namely: you must be a paying subscriber in order to use the Radio API.

Hi Stevel! Thanks for the answer. It's a pitty there's no way to avoid this, but eventually a "new" last.fm will come up that doesn't discriminate its users according to their country. Thanks again for the answer and the fantastic work you're doing on SB.

If I'm listening to the Shoutcast radio and if I have logged onto Last FM, will my profile show the song I'm listening to on the Shoutcast radio ?
