I am a proud user of songbird, both on my laptop, both on my android and I sinchronized my laptop library using "folder sync" plugin to my android.
I have the newest version 1.54 on my android and I would like to exclude medias that do not come from my laptop library.
In other words, I have in my android library a lot of mobile tunes I use when someone calls and media I recorded with friends.
They are in different folders on mobile, but songbird shows me the same... how can I avoid it?
android = Zte Blade running CM 7.1 stable and songbird 1.54
laptop = win7 ultimate x64 and latest pc songbird
Hi and thanks for the feedback
We do exclude native ringtones on most devices but if you are using third party apps for ringtones and personal media there is no way for Songbird to know those are not apart of your normal music collection.
Does the native Android music player show these files?
Hi Cory and thanks!
I checked and my basic android player unfortunately shows personal media I recorded with friends but at least does not show ringtones.
About third party apps, I am NOT using third party apps for ringtones and personal media, it is the OS I run on my Zte Blade that is modded (Zte Blade running CyanogenMod 7.1 stable, based on android 2.3.7).
They are stored in different folders,
\Media\Notification (for sms alert)
\Media\Ringtones (for normal ringtones)
\Media\Songbird (for my mp3 collection)
Should I change anything about it?
I suspect the mod is overriding our own standards as far as ignoring ringtones. Sorry I don't think there is anything we can do to avoid playing your files at this time, Hopefully we can get a similar device in-house and rectify the issue.
Thank you again for your feedback. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
