There are no tutorials what so ever or a manual for fl studio. It doesnt work properly when i try to use it as an effect on a audio track and i dont understand how to set it up as a midi track to work properly

  • It probably works the same way in all DAWs, because it is a MIDI triggered audio effect.

    1. Insert an audio clip on an audio track to test with. Vocalizer needs to be setup as an FX on this audio track, so do that next Also set Vocalizer to allow MIDI input (this may be hidden in your VST properties).

    2. Then you need a MIDI track to play the effect with. You should see Vocalizer appear as a MIDI output in your MIDI track properties after you complete step one.

Play the audio clip. You can test if Vocalizer is connected by toggling the FX on and off while playing the audio track. If you don't hear sound with the track playing, Vocalizer is working. Just play a note on the MIDI track, or the onscreen keyboard, and Vocalizer will play the sound on the audio track. This is because Vocalizer acts as a gate for all audio passing through the audio track. It only allows audio to pass when it is "played".
