Multiple email address

I have a female user who recently got married. I had made the appropriate name changes to her account, however, she wanted to keep her old email address because of clients and business trades and associations that use it. The company runs Exchange 2003.

When she receives her quarantine reports, it is for her old address. When she logs in to Spamtitan using her new email info, obviously she would see a different list...and that is the problem. She would have to login using her new email to see the report. How can the reports that are automatically sent show info on her new email address?

SpamTitan V5.08 supports mail aliases for MS Exchange users via Active Directory. Once you import the user's primary email address and aliases from AD SpamTitan will consolidate their quarantine report to include their primary and emai l and aliases. Also when the user logs on on to SpamTitan they will see the quarantine items for all their email addresses.

When I try to implement this new feature, I get a response from SpamTitan "Could not connect to LDAP server". I have checked the latest SpamTitan Administrator Guide 5.04, it doesn't contain any info regarding this feature. The UI Help doesn't contain any helpful info either.

Go to settings | Access/Authentication
Web Authentication
Domain: test.com (your domain)
Authentication Method: LDAP
LDAP Server: (ip address of windows domain controller)
LDAP Port: 389
LDAP Anonymous Search: not allowed
LDAP Search User DN: test@test.com (an email address in your domain)
LDAP Password: (password of user DN)
LDAP Query: mail=%%EMAIL%%
LDAP Search Base: %%defaultNamingContext%%

What's important is the last two entries. Cick save. Make sure you have the latest update installed.

I don't see how this effects the "Alias Unification for Microsoft Exchange Email" page.
Under Quarantine/Aliases.
I have entered the info as you suggested but it doesn't make any difference to the page I'm trying to work with.

I used your format/syntax on my SpamTitan, and it doesn't work. I either get:
"Search error 34: Invalid DN syntax"

"Fixed query_filter mail=%%EMAIL%% is probably useless"

I have Active Directory 2008, Exchange 2010 SP1. I have successfully configured Active Directory-integrated recipient filtering with other products, but this one is stumping me.

Do you want to use LDAP for recipient filtering ?
If you already have recipient filtering enabled on your Exchange Server then on SpamTitan all you need to do is select "Dynamic Recipient Verification".
This will use an address probe i.e. send the From/To of an email to the Exchange server via SMTP and Exchange will validate the user against Active Directory.

I am also getting the "could not connect to LDAP server" error when setting up alias unification. I am using the same connection information that works fine for LDAP Recipient Verification.

I did follow Wil's instructions to configure Web Authentication LDAP settings and that also works fine.

Please help me get the Account Unification to work.

We're using:

(|(proxyaddresses=smtp$=%%EMAIL%%)(proxyaddresses=smtp:=%%EMAIL%%)(mail=%%EMAIL%%)(userPrincipalName=%%EMAIL%%))
