Bible Test

In the latest edition of Charisma the magazine you have a bible test. One of your anserw's is incorrect. Number 6 says that Luke wrote the majority of the new Testament. This is False John wrote 27.5 % of the new testament where as Luke only wrote 27 %. Yes Luke wrote more chapters but not more words than John. Please check this info out.

  • Who wrote more books? Paul?!? BTW - it really is irrelavent who wrote more chapters and isn't chapter and verse a rather modern thing and argueably man-made, certainly not important to content.

    Thank you for your feedback. When you say that John wrote 27.5% of the New Testament, are you saying that based on the assumption that he was the author of the Gospel John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Revelation? Although some believe the same person wrote all five chapters, many scholars believe they were penned by different authors. Based on that assumption, Luke wrote the largest percentage of the New Testament.

    Although Paul wrote more books of the New Testament, the amount of text adds up to less than what Luke wrote. Our answers are based on the knowledge of different Bible and New Testament scholars. We realize this was a tricky question, and apologize for any confusion.
