- If you are in the StumbleBar (meaning you haven't downloaded any extension or addon) in any browser, just press the Gear wheel at the top right. You'll see a Log Out option. (This is similar to Gmail's logout option.)

- If you have the Chrome extension, click the StumbleUpon logo in browser (next to the address bar) and you'll see a Log Out option.

- If you have the Firefox/IE addon, click "Tools" and then "Sign Out".

...and you're out!

Can you make fixing this a priority? It has been a couple days, if I have to uninstall the toolbar I wont be reinstalling it.

Hi there,

Will you please elaborate on this? Which browser are you using? Thanks!

*sigh* the same one I was using before it broke through no fault of my own, once again.

3.97 and I don't intend to upgrade to the new considerably more broken one with the orange icon I don't like. Gawd, I'm bitchy, I used to be so nice and understanding, too bad you didn't meet me then, Currin. None of this is your fault, please excuse my rude attitude, it's a shame about SU making all these huge mistakes.

No worries, I understand things are frustrating when they don't work as expected. We'll figure it out!

haha you really are nice.

I hope you do figure it out, not being able to log out could be a final straw.

Logging out via the toolbar AND the web combined DOES NOT WORK. My account is currently unsecured, this displeases me greatly.

If it shows as logged out and I close my browser like "phew it worked that time" when I launch my browser again I am logged in again oopswtf.

Hm, that is strange. Perhaps there is a cookie issue that is re-enabling the logged in state? Try logging out, clearing your cookies, close your browser and then reopen. Let me know what happens.

-Do you see yourself logged in to both the site AND the toolbar or just one?

-Do you log in and out via the toolbar or the site mainly?

-Are you logging in via Facebook or with just your SU username?

Thanks!

My friend Lisa started experiencing this the same day I did. She lives in Wales and is using a totally different set-up than mine. Last I heard from her, hers started working normally again after a few days all by itself.

I log in and out via the website, always. I only started trying to do it via the toolbar when the website way stopped working. It is impossible to log out in any way, it doesn't even pretend to log me out anymore. If I log out via the website my toolbar stays logged in so the second I click anything on it I am auto-logged back into the website.

If I log out via the toolbar, literally nothing happens. It is as if I didn't click tools--> Sign-out- at all.

I only log in to SU with 'Serinadruid'. My Facebook is for family and very close friends only.

Just checking - are you in the new SU or the old SU?

Throwing this out there: would you be willing to videotape you recreating the issue for us?

Pretty easy tool to use. You can always send me the link on site to the username Currin and we'll watch to see if we can spot the issue.

It's letting me log out via the toolbar now but still can't log out on the website.

As long as I CAN LOG OUT I don't mind having to do it with the toolbar (even though I don't prefer it). At least I CAN log out now.
