Stumble views number won't go down

The number of referred pages waiting for me to review--in the upper left corner of the stumblebar (the place I click to stumble the next page that one of my friends has sent me) is frozen at 19. It won't go down.

Hello Ekko1,

Do you have access to another browser, either IE or Chrome, with the toolbar installed? If so, you may be able to click through your shares in that browser. If you can, let us know the URL of the first page to come through, since there might be something about it that is causing the logjam in Firefox.

Firefox is my only browser. I would re-install the toolbar, but I'm not sure how.

Can you tell by looking at your shares page and counting back by the number on your share button through the pages others have sent you what the stuck page might be?

@Ekko1: You can access your shares page from the Discover tab or in your inbox: http://www.stumbleupon.com/discover/s...

There you will see shares you have sent and shares you have received, including those you have not yet stumbled on your toolbar. If you can figure out what the next one waiting on your toolbar is, maybe something about that particular stumble will provide a clue to the problem.

Also, have you tried disabling AddThis to make sure it's not conflicting with the SU toolbar?

I have the number 26, and this is the 26th page in my discover queue:

I don't know how to disable AddThis. Do you?

I installed it in IE and hit the Stumble button, which loaded an old Stumble...perhaps the last one I got. It was http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland...

It now seems to be fine in Firefox.

So, no solution to our problems? Can someone tell me how to reinstall the SU toolbar? I am willing to do that.

Someone in another thread indicated that creating a clean Firefox profile and installing SU there solved the problem.

Instructions for creating a new profile are here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-us/kb/M...

If this works for you, let us know here in this thread, since that will provide another clue to what's going on.

Is this the only solution? I've had my acct for a little over a year. I've invested a lot of time in it (32k favorites). I hope a solution can be found soon - still frustrated (more like annoyed). Thx, Sue.

You don't have to open a new account on SU, only a new firefox profile. Opening a new firefox profile doesn't delete anything of your SU or social media accounts you have all over the net, it just solves problems you might have due to cookies or other stuff! Read this for more info http://www.borngeek.com/firefox/profi... or search on mozilla website. Hope this helps!

When I click on the shares that have been sent to me by other StumbleUpon users, the page doesn't load and I get the message:

"Looks like you already stumbled all your shares on another browser or computer. Press Stumble! to see a new site or explore the topics below."

What does this mean? I can see the number of the shares increasing on my toolbar but I'm unable to open them. I've tried to uninstall and re-install the toolbar but the problem wasn't solved.

I would appreciate some help.

Thanks

Hi Maggie,

Can you tell us, please whether you are still seeing this error message - or if it has now been resolved for you? Thanks.

This problem has not gone away. I see that there are many stumblers reporting this.
It has happened to me various times - and this is my way around it:
To see the shares: go to "discover" and then click on "shares" - there you will find all the shares you haven't been able to access via the toolbar.
To shift the red number - I closed Firefox and went to IE, downloaded the SU toolbar there - and then I could click on the shares and see them.
After I had got rid of them all I went back to Firefox and found it down to 0.
For about a week it worked normally and then I had to do the same procedure again ... twice.
SU is also very slow - some of my shares take up to 10 mins to arrive.
I hope this helps.

I'm also having this problem as of today (Sept 17th). I'm running WinXP, FireFox 3.6.10, SU toolbar version 3.73 I also have Greasemonkey installed and SU Editor script. I have 40 Stumbles waiting for me. When I click on the red number, I get the same error:

Looks like you already stumbled all your shares on another browser or computer.
Press Stumble! to see a new site or explore the topics below.

I am not signed on to another computer or browser. I do not have another Window open. I've cleared my cache, cookies, logged off and did a restart; the problem still persists.

When I go to my SU InBox and click VIEW SHARES/RECEIVED; I see the thumbnails/links.. 40 of them...

When I click the Stumble button, I get a random Stumble but not one that has been sent to me by a mutual friend. Help.

Sue.

I have had the same problem a while ago and I was advised in this forum to open a new Firefox profile and install SU toolbar again. I did it and it worked, so I advised everybody with this problem to do it!

Hello all,

FYI - This is a thread from our previous GetSatisfaction community that we moved here to track still-standing issues and feature requests. Feel free to comment and participate in these discussions if they are still relevant to your experience on StumbleUpon today. Thanks!

My problem is that i'm getting the same share multiple times~ some of them 3 times, and some are 20 times! they all have the same date and time stamp, so i think it is a bug and NOT the sender actually clicking to send it again. Very annoying.

I am also receiving multiples of the same share, and it has been as many as 5 at a time. It doesn't happen all the time, though.

I'm having this problem too. I'm on google Chrome, but I switched to IE and could not fix it. I tried going to my account and accessing pages through the profile, and though I could individually click on pages, the count on my shares did not go down. The ones stuck in the top of my share feed are all "spammy" looking and when I click on them, the part of the tool bar that gives you the option to reply does not appear.
