(Resolved) Continual crashes latest version

Hi

After the latest update Hipstamatic continually crashes on my phone. I have removed it and restarted my phone and installed again and the problem continues. I have done this 4 or 5 times restoring purchases and also without. It will crash when needing to process 5 or more pictures on any quality and also when going to delete an image from the application it will also crash. I turned on the 'send diagnostics' function just before so hopefully something useful has made its way to yourselves

    Thanks for your note. I'm sorry you're having some crashing since the last update.

    Can you tell me a bit more about what's happening when your copy crashes? I haven't had that many reports of crashes and yours is a bit different than the few others I've had. Is it always crashing when you've got 4 or 5 images processing in the queue?

    Does the app start ok? In other words, are you able to launch it and use it for a while before it crashes? Does it ever crash immediately upon startup?

    Also, have you noticed if it's crashing with any particular lens/film combination or is it happening with all your gear?

    Let me know if there are any other details you can think of? Those, along with the crash logs, can be very helpful to the developers.

    I've done some more testing but not as much as I would like as I am at work at present, but here goes and I hope this helps.

    With the default config that it comes with it takes photos and seems quite stable. When you delete pictures from the App it always crashes when you try to delete the last one.
    I have not been able to try it with too many combinations but the last one from memory that crashed at 5 pictures was, white case, Melody lens, Kodak film and standard flash.

    I'm just redownloading my purchases so will see if I can do more testing to assist with fixing this, but I hope this helps in some way.

    Hey Hayden,

    My apologies for not swinging back to this thread sooner.

    The specific problem you note about crashing when deleting the last pic has definitely be fixed. If you haven't already, please take a minute to update to version 252 from the App store app.

    Please let me know if things are more stable with that version?

  • Having same problems of Hipstamatic crashing everytime i try to open it. Ever since the most recent update. People keep telling to save my photos before i delete it and redownload it, but i can't open the app in order to save/transfer my photos out... CATCH 22!!!

    Any help would be appreciated.

      I do have one other question, dunno if there is a way of doing it, but i have over 400 photos on my iphone Hipstamatic app... my laptop got stolen so i lost the transfered photos that ended up in my library... is there an easy way to get my photos out of hipstamatic, without having to email them in bunches or to post them online?

      Hey Cate,

      Glad that worked. You shouldn't normally need the Reset Print Queue option, but if the app ever starts crashing on start up again, now you know it's there. :)

      Yes, you can save all of those images out of Hipstamatic, back to your Camera Roll. Other than emailing them all, that's the best export option the app has to offer. If you go into the Recent Prints gallery, you just tap the arrow icon in the upper right. That will turn into the Select All button. Hit that, and then hit the 'Tool's option in the menu along the bottom, toward the right. That will bring up the option to Save to Library. Once in your Camera Roll, you can either sync with a computer at that point or use a 3rd party app to transfer your images from your phone.
