SplashID vs 1Password?

Some years ago I took Joe K's recommendation on 1Pasword and I've never looked back and passed on that advice to many others. Really like 1Password though I wish it worked with Safari on my iPhone.

Yesterday a friend returned from a 1on1 at The Apple Store saying they recommended SplashID.

I'm curious if Joe or others have done any recent compares.

I'm not sure what Joe thinks of SplashID, which I haven't used. The system I use now for Web site logins (but not credit card info) is LastPass, since it integrates really well with browsers (on the Mac, at least). I don't do enough with login-protected sites on iOS to care much there.

This might be a good thing to post to TidBITS Talk too, to get more than one or two opinions (if enough people are using SplashID).

cheers... -Adam

I've tried SplashID briefly, although not very recently. My personal opinion is that it's not as good as 1Password—less well integrated into the full range of Mac browsers and with fewer of the features I care about. But the best thing is to download and try both options and see which you like better!

I highly recommend SplashId , because i have used it myself. Browser integration is fabulous. Also it is very easy to use. As soon as you create your account, you can actually set a pattern for splashid login, therefore you technically have to remember zero passwords. Extremely secure for USB usages as well. highly recommended.
