I’m frustrated

Difficulty adding items through the administration screen

I'm currently using the app under the trial period. I am trying to implement our shop's menu through the admin screen on an iPad. I keep hoping that this will get easier or that the difficulties I am having have already been reported and the developers are working toward resolving these issues. However, as I have not seen anything reported here, I am not so certain that is the case.

The troubles I am having:
1. Adding a new option to an item on a submenu: The name is not accepted unless followed by a space and then, it doesn't always take.
2. If a different option line is accessed immediately following the addition of a new option, the name of the new option replaces the name of the established option.
3. When using only two choices (ie Yes or No), unless the choice is required, Yes or No radio buttons appear with "No" as the descriptor so that the person ordering would have no idea as to what this button refers.
4. There is no way to "save" the changes made and sometimes I lose the items I have spent so much time imputing when I select the exit button.
5. In addition, when I used the demo iPhone screen on the iPad, the app crashed.

I was hoping to get the app up and running in less than a week but, it has taken much longer than that for me to even get a few items to register correctly. Fortunately, you offer a 90-day trial, otherwise I would be extremely upset. Please advise as to any updates or if I am just not understanding how to use the admin screen correctly.

Thank you!

    Hi Tiffany,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. The menu editing is fairly new & many of our customers tend to use the default menu, so part of the problem is that we're not getting good feedback like this. It would be great if you're able work with us to improve the experience.

1 - Yes, I can also see some odd behaviour on the submenu option name.
2 - I haven't seen this, but some of the names don't seem to be updating when they should - this may be connected. We'll investigate further.
3 - The choices should read something like 'Pickles' and 'No Pickles' (with the choice the you want displayed NOT marked as the default). I agree the setup process isn't very intuitive for that type of option.
4 - Apple tell us not to make users tap 'save', but other people have found this confusing, so I think we'll need to add it.
5 - We'll need to gather some crash data from you to determine what's causing this.

We try to resolve these as soon as we can. It takes us a little while to get an update out through the App Store; is it okay if we contact you via email so we can get a prerelease version on your iPad a bit sooner?

    Thanks,
    Sam.
