System Crashed while adding menu items

The system crashed while adding menu items. Now the All Products page shows an Unexpected Error and the system will not let me add any products.

When I try to add a product the add product information screen is blank, I have to reboot the system to get it to show up. Sometimes I have to reboot the system multiple times to get it to show up so that I can enter the product name and options.

    Hi RC,

I can see the errors in the logs but we haven't been able to reproduce it here. It looks like it's related to a diagnostics component, so we've turned that off - can you give the products another go?

We'll keep investigating the blank product information screen - it sounds like it's not correctly refreshing. We're currently working on a much improved product & menu setup screen, but I appreciate that's not much help to you at the moment!

Did you manage to get your whole menu configured?

  • Sam,

I could not get it to work correctly from the iPad, but i was able to get it finally from the computer.

I will try it again from the iPad tomorrow and see if it happens again.

Is there a way to turn off the Save to Home Screen reminder since we are having them open the system from within our mobile app?

  • Hi RC,

I'm glad you managed to get everything set up.

Without knowing how your app is implemented, the quickest way to disable the home screen reminder would probably be to run JS code like:

    google.bookmarkbubble.Bubble.prototype.isAllowedToShow_ = function() { return false; };

if you're able to use the UIWebView 'stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString:' method. Note I haven't tried this; I'll have to look into it a bit further to verify.

  • Our Store Hours are no longer listed now, so we can not adjust them. When I try to create a new store to replace the one with no store hours with, the store hours section is messing up.

It will not let us set our store hours. We keep getting a message that the opening time cant be the same as the closing time, even though they are not the same times.

  • I’m frustrated
I was not able to fix our store hours, but I was finally able to create a new store to replace it with, but now there is not an option to delete the first one.

Both stores are showing up on our mobile app now which is causing problems. How do we delete the incorrect store so that we can start using the correct one to receive orders?

  • Hi RC,

Removing a store is a currently a support operation - it's not something we anticipate would happen often, and can cause odd behaviour on the client due to the caching parameters etc.

I've deleted the CLOSED store for you - you will need to switch to the new store in the iPad app if you haven't already done so. If you're not able to reach the admin login screen in the iPad due to the deleted store, you'll need to clear saved information (under Tap2Order in the iPad settings) and re-login.

The missing store hours problem looks nasty - are you able to let us know what you were doing when they disappeared?

I should be able to get back to you shortly regarding the 'add to home screen prompt'. I've tried calling you a couple of times during the week - what's the best time I can reach you? I'm on UTC+8, so anytime after 1PM your time should work. I'd like to have a quick conversation with you about your remote ordering process - I'll be able to quickly let you know if there are areas where Tap2Order doesn't fit the process well.

  • Sam,
Thank you for deleting the old store. I have no clue how that happened, I had adjusted the store hours from the website admin page and then clicked on save, but somehow it didn't save and removed that whole section from the screen.

Call me on the store mobile number, I will make sure that I am available this afternoon after 1PM.
