TextFormatter removes newlines when a URL is an input

TextFormatter does not appear to honour carriage returns entered into a TextInput box. I managed to work around this by manually adding \r\n, but this stops working as soon as a "http://" appears. Strangely, something like this: "adasd://asdasdasd" does work correctly.

Any ideas?
