I’m confused

2nd amendment and nullification

How come the TAC doesn't mention anything about attempts to nullify federal gun laws. It makes me wonder if the creators are fundamentally against guns.

  • Hey Tim! We are absolutely NOT against guns. There hasn't been a lot happening at the state level in terms of firearms freedom this legislative session. But that issue has always been part of the TACs focus. Here is the tracking page for our firearms freedom legislation.

  • Isn't there a state that is going to nullify all federal gun laws? I haven't seen an article on this subject (yet) which is why I question the website's committment to this. I also don't see any model legislation being proposed by TAC either. A complete nullification of federal gun laws would be nice since the federal government has no power over the issue. Thanks.

  • I don't know what else to tell you Tim. It has not been a front burner issue this legislative session. Only three states (that we are aware of) introduced firearms freedom legislation. Kentucky and West Virginia's went nowhere. This article on the Kansas legislation was posted just a couple of weeks ago.

Here is one on the Ky. and W.Va. bills I wrote myself.

If you go to the blog section of the website and search "firearms" you will find numerous posts on the subject.

As for model legislation, we didn't create any because the firearms freedom folks who started the movement did that job already. If you follow the links on the tracking page, you will see the other info we provide.
