When you choose "will call" as your delivery method, you're opting to pick your tickets at the event. Typically "will call" is offered because the event doesn't use regular tickets and just a pre-paid guest list. "Will Call" is also offered when there isn't enough time to send your tickets out via US Mail.

We stop sending tickets via US Mail 9 day prior to an event. This ensures there is enough time to deliver your tickets.

If "will call" is the only option, you'll pick your tickets up at the event. Remember to bring a picture ID and the credit card you used to purchase the tickets,

If you have additional questions please call 1.877.725.8849 during normal business hours.

its a stupid phrase that confuses many, I worked in the entertainment industry for years, and nobody could explain why ("will Pick Up") was phrased as will call.... which you would expect is related to CALLING. or will call in.. etc.

the only way to eradicate stupid and confusing phrases is to NEVER repeat them and voice your opinion to businesses.... (idiotic ones like "Paying through the nose" which in fact has a very gruesome history) and does not apply to modern language.

so when someone tells you its a "Will Call" correct them and say its a WILL PICK UP!

So, if I'll pick up my ticket at the "will call/will pick up", that's at the place where the concert will be held?

The phrase dates back to the early 16th century whrere is is said that Sir William Throggmorton (a cricket match coordinator) was able to communcate with the neighboring villiage by echoeing audible sounds through the hillside giving him an approxmate attendance of his highly anticipated events.
Thus came the expression Will Call
