Add ability to copy expenses

It would be really useful if we could duplicate a previous expense. For example, if I'm visiting a cafe that I go to most work days, I could just tap the coffee expense from yesterday and it would be copied to today. I wouldn't have to type out the price again.

  • We actually have that functionality on Windows Phone if you press and hold the expense. I don't know which phone you're using.

The problem with that is, where to put the duplicate button or action to not clutter the rest of the interface with a feature that would not get used that often?

  • Hi Matic,

I'm using the Android version. Click-and-hold would be a great way to access the Copy option. Alternatively it could be on the 'Expense detail' screen, next to the Delete and Edit options.

I think this feature would be used regularly. Think of all the repeated expenses people have (which might not be regular enough for a repeating rule):
    - Daily coffee
    - Public transport ticket
    - Prepaid phone credit
    - Entry fee at swimming pool

It could be so much easier to duplicate an expense from earlier in the week than having to type out the price and add the right tags every time.
