Copy or Duplicate Charts in a Multiple Chart Layout

Can I copy from one chart to another in Multiple Chart Layout? Sometimes I would like to duplicate a chart in a 2 or 3 chart set-up before then changing time frames so that my trendlines are now on the new time frame. e.g. I would like to draw trend lines on a Daily chart, then duplicate that chart and change time frame to H4 so now I have my Daily trend lines on my H4 chart. (With both charts still in the window of course.)

This copy feature will save a lot of time as the alternative means drawing trendlines on 2 Daily charts and then changing the time frame on one of them.

Hoping I've been able to explain my point in an understandable way. Thanks

  • Also, is it possible to load a saved chart ( which is not a multiple chart) into a multiple chart window?

Unfortunately, it is not possible at the moment. You can post an idea about it for voting.

  • Unfortunately the only way I have found to emulate this very obvious need is by never using the multiple charts feature in trading view. And just using many browser windows. So I load the 1st chart in 1 browser and load all drawing tools onto it.
And then I use the " make a copy " option from the pull down menu at the top right hand corner where you would save your chart. Then you rename the new copy something indicating why that chart is different. For example you could label it DOW JONES Daily or Weekly or 60 minutes etc. Then you can just keep making additional copies to this chart in consecutively smaller time windows. You can just click on the browser tab for the chart you want to work on. Or you can size all these windows by minimizing them on your desk top as a multi window view. If you ever need to re do the whole series, you close them all out and start with the longest time frame and work inward again. Its the only way I have found to do it. Hope that helps someone. It really is a shame they have not implemented this fix.
