Some of the movies I've seen can't be found on Trakt. Is there a way to add them to my library anyway?

What scraper in xbmc are you using? If you could send us the xbmc.log to support@trakt that would also help us out.

I'm not using the xmbc player, just trying to add previously seen movies manually.

What scraper are you using? It looks like the imdb ids are in a different format, so I assuming you use a scraper other than themoviedb or imdb.

It matches movies with themoviedb, so if its not on there that is the first reason why it wouldn't add it. To match, it uses the imdb ID since that is the most accurate. If that is not found, it will attempt a name and year match. If the movie name doesn't match anything on themoviedb, that could also cause it to not find it.

I'm not sure what you mean by scraper?

I mean when I use the search function on the Trakt site, some movies aren't found. I checked TMDb and that site does have them.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood and thought you were trying to watch a movie in xbmc and it wasn't showing up. Movies on trakt are pulled on demand the first time someone watches or imports their library. I need to add a quick form so you can add any movies that missing. I will try and get that implemented in the next couple days.

You can use the search bar to pull show or movie info on demand if we don't have it in the database for some reason. Just use the prefix imdb, tmdb, or tvdb to search and/or pull the data.

For example, imdb:tt0499549 would go directly to the summary page for Avatar and would have pulled the info and artwork if needed.

It works with some movies, but not with all (for example tt1758692 , tt1719071 , tt1684628 )

Why? :( Want to add them to my watchlist

I added the first one using themoviedb ID. The second and thirth ones are not yet in the database of themoviedb, so those cannot be scraped unless you add the movie to their database.

Does this new search function also rescrape movies that are already on the website? Some of the movies and tv shows have no image, while the info on tmdb or tvdb in the mean time has been updated with images that were not available during the first scrape.

I can't seem to get this to work with imdb:tt0119429, has the syntax changed or something?

The reason you got an error was because this particular movie (Julian Po) was not yet in the database of TMDB. I added it for you on TMDB, filled it with information and artwork and also added it on trakt.

Ahh, thought it pulled from imdb. Thanks.

Did you ever get a response about updating entries? I was trying to add a bunch of Catherine Zeta Jones movies, but only one of them is tied to her and this syntax doesn't seem to be working. Or is this another thing that I'd need to add at tmdb?

Yes, all information is pulled from tmdb. If you want to change something on trakt you first have to change it on tmdb. Usually within a few days trakt will update the information you changed on tmdb and add it to their own database.

It seems that there is something wrong with this movie. I tried to add it to the trakt database, but i got an 404 error.
