Protection Disabled suddenly

Hello, I recently renewed my subscription to Trend Micro, and it was running fine for a month, but in the past two days, I'm getting pop ups saying "Protection Disabled".
I follow the prompts to restart, but the icon on my taskbar turns from red to grey within five minutes and I get the same pop ups returning.
Please advise.

Thank you for still choosing Trend Micro as your security program! We are very sorry to hear that you are having problems with your Trend Micro software. 

You can try re-activating it by clicking on the "Activate Now" button on the main console of your Trend Micro software and provide the computer name of your desktop/laptop.
