Is it possible to encode closed-caption data on an MPEG-2 video file that is played out on Cablecast? I know about the VBI capture for video encoding, but I want to know if Cablecast can play out Line 21 captions given data in the MPEG-2 stream or via an .scc file.
We have a PSA we want captioned and need to know this before doing the work or sending it out.

EMPLOYEEI’m happy0Hey David,
The SX video servers can play back Line 21 Closed Captioned embedded in a MPEG2 stream. I am uncertain about the .scc file though. I'll look into it and try to get back to you.
Another option is if you send out the video to be captioned you could capture via the SX encoder which would allow the playback of the captioning.
