Add styling to words that match

Hello again

This question is mainly concerning the words that match tags in "Tweet Blender for Tags" but could also be expanded to general users and hashtags.

It would be awesome, if you could add styling of the words that match the tags.

Example:

[Begin tweet]
Tweet text Tweet text Tweet text
Tweet text [span class=tweetblender_tag_match]word[/span] Tweet text
Tweet text Tweet text
[end tweet]

in the widget itself you could add a textfield where the admin can apply the css styling he wants. E.g. "background-color:#FFFF00; font-weight: bold;".

Should you consider expanding it from just tags to also users and hashtags, it would be really neat if you could add a unique styling for the three different types:

1) Users
2) Ordinary words that match WP tags
3) Hashtags

I have made a simple mockup to show you what I mean (please try to disregard that it is based on a danish admin interface) :o)

Edit: Had to use [span] instead of true span - since this forum apparently interprets it. :o)

Hello Esben,
Thanks for the great idea!

Part of the changes in v3 had to do with formatting of each individual tweet. I have now switched to JavaScript/HTML templates which gives us a lot of flexibility in creating custom markup and styling.

I am working on "Tweet nStyle" tools that will allow to control all aspects of the layout and presentation. Some of the features it will provide are:
- tweets can be listed horizontally or vertically
- widget can have a scrollbar
- each tweet can be styled separately with background colors, borders, rounded corners
- complete font control
- complete color control for text, background, borders
- custom template editor that allows to pick and choose what elements to show and in what order (image, text, timestamp, author, source, etc.)
- precise control for user picture size

I'll add to that list the features you requested:
- custom style for keywords that matched search criteria
- custom style for hashtags that matched search criteria
- custom style for screennames that matched search criteria

The Tweet nStyle tool will be a paid add-on to Tweet Blender which will always remain free and open source. Some small one-time fee like $20.
