Tweet Blender Posting My Latest Tweet Twice in Sidebar

Hi Kirill. I upgraded to 3.1.16 and what that did was make the first AND second tweets appear twice, possibly more but I only had it set to display 5 - so I was getting 1st tweet x2, 2nd tweet x2 and then 3rd tweet.

I turned off caching and it seemed to work ok but then I checked it again later and it's doing the same thing.

oh, thanks for pointing that out! I think I found one more place that could be causing this. Adjusted in 3.1.17 - please give it another try.

Hi Kirill ~ I may have found a clue to this mystery. Installed 3.1.17, with WP 3.0.1. and while testing the "1 tweet/all-time" filter (still not working correctly), I noticed the double-entry bug (tweet1, tweet1x2, tweet 2, tweet2x2 etc.) each time a new tweet joins the blend. However, when you click on "view more" (go to the Twitter archive page), THEN click the browser's "back" button (IE8), the Blender reverts to the correct mix (only 1 tweet from each user. Was that clear? Thanks! Ken

That seems to be it now, I still have caching off but it's been good for the last few hours. Thanks for the help!

I'm running the latest version of Tweet Blender and I've got the same issue. Double and even triple tweets showing up. :(

ya, the only fix is to disable caching in the plugin settings.

that's what i did, disable the caching and it's fine now. it def has to be a bug in the caching. i really like caching, so hopefully this can be fixed

go to the tweetblender settings, not in the widget then go to advanced, and click disable caching

ok updated to 3.2 and enabled chaching again and it semmed to work, then new update 3.2.1 seems to start dup tweets again.

I think it's a great plugin/widget though! http://paintballerschoice.com

Can you try to reinstall 3.2.1 and clear cache? Let me know if the dup is still there afterwards. Thanks for helping me troubleshoot this one!

David, just checked your site and do see the duplicate tweets. Somehow the same tweet gets interpreted as being posted with a one second difference and the plugin thinks they are different. I'll check my code some more to see where this is coming from.

I was very confident that 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 had the duplicate tweets issue resolved - I spent a week re-architecting how indexing is done. Well, looks like some more tweaking is in order.

oh, also, it says my last tweet was yesterday, however a tweet went up today that it doesn't show, so tweetblender may not be refreshing either :/

I'll include the fix in v3.2.2

wait. it's not working. damn! it seems when i refesh the page all is good, however when the widget refreshes itself, it dupes the 2 most recent tweets, then when it refreshes itself again, it dupes that most recent tweet in addition to it being duped previously, so my widget shows only 4 tweets, all 4 are the most recent tweet. gonna try turning the cache off
