Direct Messages are being sent from my account, but I haven't sent them. Everyone is getting these from me. They are for all kinds of 'businesses'. But they're spam and I don't like them coming from my account. How can i stop this?

CHANGING PASSWORD DOES NOT HELP
Sends random shit like 'funny pic of you' or 'you gotta see this'

I have changed my password and it has not stopped. And, I've been receiving the same sort of thing from various other people. It appears to be a Twitter-wide problem. Is someone doing something about it?

Yes you can try deauthorizing apps in your settings.

I have this problem. I changed password and eliminated access from other sites to be sure (geofollow, twibes, etc.) -- however, I am not able to send a REAL direct message from my own account.

Hi All

I experienced the same problem. The virus is called the "KOOBFACE" worm. If you have the latest updated antivirus, it should pick it up and delete it. I downloaded the latest dat from http://www.mcafee.com/apps/downloads/...
You can also get assistance from the below link : http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Remove...

Hope this helps.

Are we all using TweetDeck? This seemed to be the problem for me.
Uninstall it and revoke access on your apps list.
