The way to add a link in a Twitter post will depend greatly on what tool / method you're using to actually make the post.

Many of the downloadable tools will make it easy for you to add links (and shorten them).

However, if you're just adding a tweet from the Twitter.com site, you might want to check out Lizzer. It's a free bookmarklet that lets you insert links into Twitter.

Also, when you inserting links in Twitter, it will automatically shorten the link - leaving more room for your tweet.

Check it out.

Copy and paste the URL/link straight onto your tweet. If it's too long, then you'll need to use a link-shortener. My personal fave is bit.ly

If you have FireFox, it is available as a plug-in called "Addthis", and can auto generate a short url & redirect you back to twitter with the shortened URL.

Hope that makes sense.

first go to http://tinyurl.com/ and use their software to make tiny url and copy that tinyurl links and paste it to your tweet...I have experimented it and it did work...here is and example: http://tinyurl.com/women-high-Wedge-Boot

Is it possible to add html coding to a tweet? Want to embed the URL in the text (e.g., have a word be clickable instead of seeing the URL)
