TypePad posts twice on my Facebook page

I have TypePad automatically linked to my Facebook account so new blog posts are listed on Facebook. For the past month, each new post shows up twice on Facebook. I don't know where to troubleshoot... Any ideas where I should track down the source of the duplicate posting?

HI Ken! Do the posts look exactly the same or do they differ at all? Did you previously have Facebook set up to import your posts as Notes, or another method like that?

The posts look exactly the same. They both say they have been shared "via TypePad." Today's post actually showed up three times!

As far as I know, I do not have Facebook importing my posts from its side, although I'm perfectly happy to look for hidden apps I may have forgotten about if you can point me towards the right page.

It sounds like they're coming from TypePad, then. Do you see anything odd when publishing the post, from the Compose page?

Aha! I hadn't thought about the source. I create my posts in Windows Live Writer and publish them to TypePad through its API. I just tried composing a post in TypePad itself and it did not get double-posted to Facebook. So something is going on in the Live Writer publishing step. I just checked all its options and I don't see anything that would link Live Writer and Facebook, but I'll keep looking.

Hi Ken! You may want to see if you can find answers in the Live Writer help center and forum or submit your own question to the forum.

In the meantime, you may want to turn off automatic posting to Facebook in TypePad and Live Writer and manually share the link to your Facebook Profile &/or Page to prevent duplicate submissions.

It wasn't Live Writer after all. The duplicate just took some time to show up on my page when posted directly in TypePad. Now it's sometimes repeating three or four times! I guess I'll just turn off the linkage entirely as you suggest. Count me as just another disgruntled Facebook user.
