Pictures in Catalogues

Catalogued items MUST be accompanied by pictures if the houses want to attract on line or absentee bids. it is sufficiently risky to bid on items based on pictures - but a 10 word description? No way.

Hi Dave

some of our salerooms also send us their general sales because we put them on the site for a very reasonable cost. I think for their regular customers the benefit is that they can print out the catalogues.

That is not the case with all of them though, and I understand your frustration. We encourage our auction houses to send as many images as possible.

I will be sending some of the comments we've had from members to our clients and I will add your to them if you don't mind.

having said that, you can send an image request to the saleroom and most are happy to provide them.

Thanks Dave

Were going to be changing the faded UK when there's no image to "request an image" with a clickable link to email the saleroom directly , it's on a to do list for future development. Any other ideas are welcome.
