COD or Bank link or just normal credit card(not google checkout) option should be added... is very difficult to the customer.... PLEASE have a look at this!!

COD should be added. Or we should be able to add custom options.

WESTERUNION (direct cash) is the solution, PLEASE WEBS team include her.

HOW DO MY CUSTOMERS CHECKOUT & RECEIVE A TOTAL AMOUNT DUE? I want it to be professional, like a normal webstore checkout. I dont want to have them submit a form to me, then I have to email them a total back...that is so stupid. Why can't we just get a 3rd payment option on the webstore checkout for COD? -
It's so simple just to add a "pay by cash" as the 3rd option rather than all of this forms & links stuff. I want to look professional & don't want the customer to have to jump thru hoops by filling out multiple forms for one simple sale of 3 items.

The webstore was designed with eCommerce in mind. There are a couple options you could use to provide Cash on Delivery (COD) products through your website.
One option would be to ask for a small deposit for the purchase through the WebStore. Then, the remaining balance could be collected when the product is delivered.
Another option would be to use Contact Us forms instead of the webstore. You could post the products on a normal page (with images and descriptions as necessary) and then link to a form the customer would fill out if they wanted to purchase the product.
When you receive the form you can process the shipment. You can use the form you received as an invoice with the delivery. The forms can also be saved in a csv format that you could later use to report your sales or plan your delivery route.
For more information on creating a form (and turning on the data saving option for the csv format) check out this article -

Include information stating that the product will be payed for upon delivery.

Ok, so how would that work for them purchasing multiple items? If each item is linked to a form, then they would have to buy each item separately?

how does it work for people living outside the usa? i tried to set up a paypal account that was linked to webpage and its only for us residents as it came back saying invalid zip code ??

You shouldn't need to create multiple forms. You can create a single form and include drop down lists for the items. So the customer selects the item, and then either enters the quantity or selects the quantity from a drop down list.
Or, if you want to give the customers the ability to purchase multiple items at once, you can use checkboxes instead. It depends on what you want to do.
Here's a quick example. You can spruce yours up with informational text and more fields:

How would I get the form to accept multiple items ordered & give the customer a total amount due? I can't see a way to do that. This is a lot of work to "get around" a simple cash button feature. :(

I dont know how to add forms, and it's too much work because i have over400 items in my store. JUST ADD OTHER OPTIONS ALREADY GEEZ! I paid for your service, why are u not listening to your customers and what they need?

I think that the option should just be added. How hard can it be to just add a new field into this. I find the webs.com solution awful. I mean seriously. It should be incredibly simple to add.
-
-
i understand and agree with JJ.
at the moment, our customers can choose 'paypal' or 'google' at the checkout.
why not add an option (for the site admin to turn on/off) for cash, where the item's are ordered and processed as usual, but no payment is made via internet.
Customer then pays delivery driver (in this case) as per site/checkout instructions. -
-
I don't know if this is the place where I supose to coment but I want to ask that:
If I accede to premium service ca I have the 3rd payment option on the webstore checkout for COD?-
this also interests me too... this is why I consider to swich to freewebstore site where they have much worse solutions for whole site, but have option to checkout with cash...

no, this is what we are trying to convince webs.com to do.

Absolutly agree, I also have clients that do not want to use paypal nor google. Either c.o.d or paymant in advance by invoice. I would really like them to have the possibility to shop and add items in webstore, then instead of the paypal buttom there should be possibility to get more options on check out. Because of this can not use the webstore as it is ment to, and think after a short period maybe have to change provider for my webstore, at latest when the amount of items will increase.
-
-
I agree! I live in Bermuda and I cannot accept payment through paypals or google store. Is there any other way I can set up a shop with some other form of payment? I have lots of art to sell with no form of payment set up for it.
-
why don't you create a form with drop down lists (use part numbers for each item) and when they SUBMIT the form, they are directed to a page with direct deposit details on it? Simple enough.
-
-
Ans state items will not be shipped until payment has been received

-
Will COD be added in the near future?
Otherwise it doesn't make sense for me to put any effort into this webstore

Would it be possible to put a Dutch payment system called 'IDeal' on the site's build with Webs? It would be handy for people who want to make a donation to our site or for other sites that sell stuff.

It would be great if we could run charges for our company's online store through Authorize.net instead of PayPal, as Authorize.net is merchant account, making it more reputable.

Is there no possibility to get any other option at webstore check out than PayPal and Google ? Would like to have as one option payment with invoice / on account, meaning when customer order he can chose that option and company then sends him a invoice.

Payment options on check out / Webstore. -

I agree. Webs should gie you more options in webstore. I would like an extra option of direct transfer. Some people arent comfortable using paypal.. and some of my customers dont have a paypal or google checkout account. majority of my sales are one offs and people arent wanting to sign up to paypal or google checkout to pay for something once. Payment options similar to ebay would be nice. Something that my customers can pay by direct bank deposit and get an emailed reciept/invoice of the product they are buying with a total cost on it.
OH and while im at it, More font options would be nice in the site builder too :D-
Sarah, thanks for the feedback re: the webstore.
Please be sure to comment or vote on the site builder topic -- if you mention something here about the site builder, it won't be considered when the site builder topics are reviewed:

We need to add a NORMAL CREDIT CARD option that is not Google Checkout to the website. It is impossible to run a legitimate buisness the way you have it set up. To have to wait a month to receive only a certain amount of my money through pay-pal or to wait 2 weeks to receive MY money through google checkout is a joke. My customers now have to wait a delayed period of time because i don't receive THEIR money that they paid ME for the products they order through MY company. This needs to be changed now. We can not wait any longer using the two USELESS options you have given us for checkout.
-
-
come on i know they can chang it to money order put that 3rd payment option
-
-
Can I get a direct answer, here? I would like a COD mode. It's been a year since the question has been asked and nothing have changed.
-
Please see the first reply at the top of the topic - you can use the suggested solution there. The payment system for the webstore has not been changed at this point, but we do appreciate the feedback, so we know what is needed and wanted by the users as we consider upgrades to the features.
-
-
Thank you for replying but as JJ has said, we want the web store to be professional, a form just isn't going to work. Most of my customers don't have pay pal, I would be at a loss here. Hope you understand. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I called Webs Chat Support and talked about Merchant Account on how to attach or add all majors card onto the storefront...depressing, we couldn't but she recommend me to make a topic support that way when they see a lot of interactions on this topic support. So I would like to ask any one if they would like to jump onto the board about having merchant all major cards accepted added to the storefront since I have few people complaining they do not want to set up an pay pal or google check out. So I feel it'll be a lot faster if they just use all major cards instead having to go to pay pal and then order it out etc. It makes less e-mails and calls & mostly confusions! :-) Hope all of you would jump onto this support forum!

MERCHANT ACCOUNT - ALL MAJORS CARD ONTO THE STORE WEBSITE. -

It just makes the most sense to allow as many different payment options as possible. I'm a brand new user and have read this thread from the start and it's quite disappointing to see that webs.com has not taken any action in response to this since over a year ago when this request began. I'm very interested in Dwolla being added as a payment option, because it would work well for our all-local customers and it does not involved the sharing of credit card information, and no outlandish fees for us as merchants to need to absorb simply for accepting payments. C'mon webs.com, let's see some action on this!
-
-
I'm cross-referencing my regarding payments in ZAR and the need for Webs to allow for other payment engines (i.e. payfast) as PayPal and Google Checkout do not provide support for ZAR. Also COD.
http://support.webs.com/webs/topics/i...
Thanks Caroline. I have bugged PayPal for a number of years about providing support the ZAR currency but it's still a roadblock fro us. I've created a Whuzoo website under the Free licence in WEBS to test out the e-commerce options and you will see that I can set my default currency to ZAY but if you follow this through to the checkout it swaps ZAR for US$ and R140 is not equal to $140, so the credit bill starts to get pretty steep.
I would be eternally grateful if you could put the issue of the local payment engines on the priority list. It basically prohibits me from using Webs. -
-
I Can't stand the fact that you only have 2 options to complete checkout !! this is bs! I have to agree with the rest of these posts And am not a happy customer !

-
At least add a Western Union option!

Personnally I also need the pay by cash option. I hope this gets inserted.
I have created a webform as a store at the moment. Using the regular paragraphs to put in the pictures of the items. It does work, but it is not as professionally as the webstore itself.
I have made it invissible at the moment until I can make it perfect or have a real webstore (with pay by cash option).
Happy building.
Oh and a message to some on this forum: please do not use bad language or capital letters to give your statement more body. It does not do any good for our request. -

hi,
can the people in charge of decision making here on webs, please please please do something about customising payment options. we all need it badly and there's no other way you can make us loyal customers if you do not intend to work on this. many other websites are offering this feature and it won't be long before we move on to other web building websites.
please help us!!! thank you!!! -

I see no reason to move forward and upgrade from the free account until there is some indication that webs.com is going to respond to this consistent request which has gone essentially unanswered for two years (no, I don't believe repeating the forms workaround rates as an actual response).
If it is not clear by now that people really need more flexibility in payment options, I don't think there is anything that will move webs.com to be responsive to this request, unfortunately. -
-
Why is it that Webs is not responding to these request to make more payment options? Maybe they don't care if they loose their customer base. Three years people have been complaining and still no correct response from Webs. I hope someone respond to this post. Why can't you guys add more payment options. BTW I'm a paying customer.
-
-
Why is it that it has been three years and still no other payment options? and why is it you guys (Webs) can accept other payments? but we as paying customers to you can not. All we have to do is add a card and you guys get paid. Why can't we get the same service?
-
-
does anyone know of web store that allows the all important cash on delivery option? Webs does not care about its customers, therefore it will lose them!

Is there any hope that Webs is going to add another Gateway, say ZenCart as another payment option to PayPal? If so, when????-
We are investigating other payment options for a future update to the Webstore app. There is not currently an ETA on when an update would be available.

Thank you for your reply. I've looked back and it seems webstore owners have been asking for this for approximately 4 years. I was hopeful and optimistic, but I think it's time to throw in the towel. Again, thank you for your honesty. I wish I would have been knowledgeable enough to know of this pitfall when I went with Webs in 2010. There have been numerous upgrades and templates added in the designer, a bizillion ads to upgrade our accounts to a Premium account, and oh yes, the surveys that seem to be in vain, yet the only change I have seen in 4 years to the webstore is that we had to remove Google from our checkout, and oh yes, you changed the color of the "new", "sold out" etc. banners. Obviously, merchants are not important to your company; however, you do like to get paid (and Webs payments can be made by credit cards....how does that work?)
