Hi Kerstin,
I apologize for the inconvenience, but the web store does not offer options outside of Paypal or Google currently.-

So we will not be able to accept credit card payments on our site. Will we ever be able to accept credit card payment on our site

You can accept credit card payments through a Google Checkout or Paypal account, but we do not currently offer the ability to process them directly.
We will consider other payment options when the Webstore is updated at some point in the future. However, we do not know how soon this may be.-
I think you should process credit card payments directly, especially now since Google Checkout is soon to be discontinued.

Thanks for your suggestion, Bernard!

Can there be an option for the customer to input their credit card information and I can process it manually using PayPal Here, Intuit GoPayment, Switchpay, etc? The fees are SIGNIFICANTLY lower than Google Checkout.

The webstore allows you to sell your own products. Webs does not provide assistance with finding items to sell.

I am considering finding a different website base to use if I cannot accept credit cards directly. How close are you to this capability? I make all my sales through etsy right now...I've probably sold only like 3 led hoops in 3 years through having this site and if I only have paypal as an option I don't see this getting any better. I pay money to keep my store up through you and am highly stressed because I always though that there was a direct payment option until someone informed me otherwise. If your not making advancement in this field, how do I go about transferring my domain address to a different site which will process credit cards directly...I would rather NOT do this...but I will not stay here and pay for a site that is bringing me no money. Thanks...please get back to me a.s.a.p. :o)

This feature is being considered for a future update to the Webstore app, but there is no ETA at this time. For assistance with your domain, contact premium support by clicking the "?" button at the top-right of your account.

i agree its a basic requirement now to accept cards , about time this was updated !!
cannot fault almost every other aspect , but payment is after all why we are all or mostly doing this for , a restriction here is a major issue . -

Message to Legacy Webs: The longer you wait to effectively address your customers' very valid and pertinent concerns, the less relevant you become. I am now actively considering selling online through Amazon.com and eBay, because they offer both broader access to potential customers and easier processing of payments and shipping. That being the case, the website I've created here will likely soon be relegated to a very minor and tertiary role. (And will most probably eventually be terminated.)

Credit Card Payment.
I have a problem.
Much visitor exits from my site because they think that I cannot pay with credit card.
I use Paypal like payment, but in the cart there is the button " Pay with Paypal".
Like second option to there is Google Checkout, but you only can register if you are USA or UK, therefore I that I am Italian I cannot use it.
I think that I am not the only who have this problem therefore I wanted to propose an alternative for who is not USA or UK.
Also paypal accept credit cards but if you write "pay with paypal" a visitor cannot know it, therefore I proposed:
1) the button in "pay with paypal" could be modified in "pay with paypal or redit card";
2) or, an only button could be made "pay with paypal or redit card" in which entering the customer can decide which payment to use; and the seller can decide in the settings which service to use (Google Checkout, Paypal or others)

More ways to receive payments.
add more ways to receive payments because now some of us don't use paypal anymore because they have the 21 days hold money and then 2 more weeks to request a check ... 5 weeks to receive payments? this is ridiculous, webs please add more ways to receive payments it's not that hard , ebay has like 7 ways to receive payments so do the same and try more, thank you. -
