I have 3 websites on Webs.com. One of them is practicingwebdesigning.webs.com
There isn't anything on the site, but recently I tried to upload a tiny .exe file (8 KB in size) that I had developed to the site using the file manager.
By the way, my site is an HTML only site. Anyway, if I used the multi file uploader, it would show me an error. And if I used the single file uploader, it would upload the file but then the file wouldn't appear in my files and folders list!
My site is far older than 7 days and the file is far smaller than 20MB. Why is this happening?
Thanks in advance.

Hello!
Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately I've seen this issue occur from time to time with .exe files. Our apologies for the difficulty. I see that it's a smaller file so it may simply be the file extension that's causing the issue.
Please zip the file then attempt to upload it into the File Manager again. You will not have access to the Multi-File Uploader as a free user. That's a premium-only feature.
Once you've uploaded the file as a .zip file, you should be able to access it from the File Manager.
Hope that helps!

I expected there to be a reply to my question soon. This has been a very frustrating problem and I am still searching for a solution. Is there none???

Thanks Dom, for the zipping workaround. This should be enough, but nevertheless, shouldn't there be a proper way to upload them, rather than a workaround?
I'm happy though.-
Absolutely. We do permit uploading of .exe files (s simply the nature of the beast. If you have any executable files that you attempt to upload in the future, I would simply suggest zipping them first to save yourself some trouble. :-)
