Email Services: Permanent Failure Message Delivery

SCENARIO:

A particular email or several emails can not be sent. In some cases, you can send the email if you try many times. . Note this is not the same as your mailbox being suspended. The message for this issue comes with various wording:

MESSAGE
"The message was rejected for the following reason: Permanent Failure: Message delivery failed. If you believe this message is an error, please review the User Service Agreement and contact Support"

"550 Permanent Failure: Message delivery failed. If you believe this message is an error, please review the User Service Agreement and contact Support"

CAUSES ( one or more of the following):

Cause 1: A link in your signature/footer or within the email is being blocked by the receiver or our email service provider.

Solution - Please remove the link from your signature by logging into your email services via http://webmail.yourdomain. Proceed to Options and use the signature link to remove.

Cause 2: Your IP/ISP is being blocked. Maybe a person on your IP provided by your ISP has spammed others.

Solution - To investigate first do the following:

a. Find your IP address by going to whatismyip.com
b. Once you have your IP address, go to http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

If your site is blacklisted, follow the suggestions the link. Also, contacting your ISP would be best.

Cause 3: Attempt to forward an email with bad links.

Solution: Do not forward the email. Recreate the email as a new email to send.

If you have tried all of these solutions but can not send the email. Contact us with the following information. Visit your support section ( http://members.webs.com/s/support/index ) to email us with the following info.

1. An example: Simply save email you are attempting to send as a draft.
2. Title of the email(s)
3. Email address/mailbox you are using to send the email.
4. Password for mailbox
