FAQ. Domain Registry of America - renew your domain? Read this first!

There is a domain registrar that sends "renewal" notices to owners of domain names. They get the names and addresses of domain owners through WHOIS, which provides a listing to anyone who wants to see the owner of a domain name.

They will send emails and even paper letters to people, stating their domain name is about to expire. If you have a domain, and renew through them, your domain will no longer be registered through Webs!

What to do if you get a letter from Domain Registry of America

Ignore it. Don't pay them any money, unless you really want them to be your new registrar.

What to do if you already paid them to renew your domain name

If you already paid them, then they are now your domain registrar. This means you will need to have a full-service premium service package with Webs, if you don't have one already. Otherwise, your domain won't work on your site anymore.

The package you will need to get is either the Starter, Enhanced, or Pro package. You can purchase one of these in the PREMIUM section of your account.

You can check the renewal date on your domain, and whether it's set to autorenew, by going to Premium and clicking on the Domain Names link. Manage your domain, and you can see the settings there.
