FAQ. I Can't Delete My WebsID - Read first!
I want to delete my WebsID but can't find a way to do so. All I've found were how to delete a web site and the web site's account. Someone please help!

It is very possible to change your Webs Id but not delete it. The login system on your websites (as opposed to webs.com) is based on our "WebsID" system. This is a unique email/password combination that you and your members use to login to access members-only features on your site.
To login as the "Site Owner" and administrator of your site, you will want to use the WebsID that is attached to this account. To change the WebsID that is marked as Site Owner, click "Use another WebsID".
You can change the Webs Id by going to the following:
1. Log into your account
2. Go to Site Settings
3. Look to the right for Master account information

This is the community for "Legacy Webs", the older editors, so the information here will not apply to those on newer accounts. What is your site address?

There is NO "use another Webs ID" anywhere on the site settings page. I've been horsing around with "customer service" for weeks on this. Where does one go to change the email associated with the account?? Thanks for any help!

Incredible. I'm finally able to show you what's wrong, and I get pushed off to another forum? Given that I was finally able to prove what's not there, perhaps bumping me up a level in tech support might have been helpful.

When I click on the "Use another WebsId" and enter a new email address and password and click the button "Attach Websid", nothing happens. I am transferring the site admin role to another person and need to update this.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately we cannot provide additional assistance here with Abuse issues. However, a representative from the Abuse Department will be glad to assist. You can email them here: Abuse@webscom.zendesk. The account will be frozen if proven to violate our Terms of Service.
However, the account can only be deleted by the Site Owner or someone that has access to that information. We do not delete accounts unless they've been inactive for a minimum of 60 days.

terrible customer service.
Your site needs to have no logins or visitors to the site to be considered active. Since your account under scheamour@gmail.com was logged into as recently as today, it is not inactive.
