I have, by Webs, an association page. some of the Members can login using the login on the site, while some may not but they will return to the login.
I myself as the owner of the page can not log in directly on the site but must go through the Webs site and thereby take me to the current home page. something you can look at alternative help me with?

    Andreas,

Thank you for the information you have provided. Are you able to view your homepage at all? Could you please provide the name of your Internet Service Provider?

  • Andreas,

If the members are being taken back to the log in screen after trying to log in, the issue may be with their browsers. There could be a security application blocking your site and in that case they would need to add your site and webs.com as an exception to their browsers. The issue may also lie with their ISPs as well. However this would depend on what ISP they are with. Has anyone given you the name of their internet service provider?

Adding a site as an exception (FF):

    Click on "Tools" then "Options"
    Click on "Security"
    Click on "Exceptions" (Top)
Add the site name and click "Allow"
Close the Browser window and open again.

    Exceptions in (IE)

Click on "Tools" then "Internet Options"
Click on the "Privacy" tab and then click "Sites"
Add the site there and click "Allow"

Please let me know if any of your users have any success. Thank you!

  • in my search for a solution to the problem so I tried to log on via the URL oldsteelcruisers.webs.com and then it worked to log on.

then the problem may be that I've linked oldsteelcruisers.webs.com address via a page that gives me domain name www.oldsteelcruisers.tk?

otherwise I got no help of the Click on "Tools" then "Internet Options"
Click on the "Privacy" tab and then 'click' Sites'
Add the site There and click "Allow"

  • Andreas, that definitely sounds like the issue. I was unaware that you were linking them via a .tk domain. In the past I have seen very intermittent issues such as these with those types of domains. However the issue is harder to pinpoint because it does not always occur for all users. However, I would recommend continuing to use the subdomain address for log-ins...or I may even suggest a domain name change. However that choice is completely up to you. Please let me know if I can assist you in any further way! Thanks!
