No, if you have misspelled a registered (purchased) domain name, you cannot change it. You can, however, register the domain with the correct spelling, then have BOTH domains work for your site.
To do that, go to the Premium area of your account and register the new (correctly spelled) name.
We cannot change the spelling on a domain or provide refunds on domains. This is because ICANN, the international body that governs domain names, does not permit refunds or spelling changes. Once a domain is registered, it's registered for the duration it was registered for.

A domain is another address for your site. It does not control the site, so you wont need to recreate the site. You can not change the domain but you can register another domain and have that one replace the older one. Once you have registered the newer domain, go into your site settings to set it as the site address.

Did you purchase an actual domain name, or are you talking about your Webs.com username?
You can change your Webs username (eg, username.webs.com) for a small fee. Just follow these steps.
1) Go to Webs.com and login.
2) Go to "Edit Site"
3) Go to "Site Settings"
4) Under "Site Credentials", you will see your username.
5) Beside it, click "change," the rest is self explanatory.
However, if you are talking about an actual domain name, you can simply purchase a new one with the correct address, then change it to your primary. -

What if i purchased the name, but it didn't come out as username.com, it came out as username-com1.webs.com? What do i do to fix it?

You'll need to contact Premium Support to have that issue resolved. Log into your account, click on the Control Panel, click on the support option and email support there.
Thanks!

I too have this question, but why should I have to purchase a new domain name when the first (and misspelled) was free?
-
The first one was not actually free. You got a coupon for a domain, and used it for that one. Webs actually had to pay the registrar for the domain.

What if I want to change the whole domain name? because we changed our company name? is that possible? I used to have business partner and he purchased this domain without my knowledge and now I got charge. But since I also need to have my own website, i wanted to just continue using webs.com service.

How much is the new domain name?
-
-
Mae,
You can purchase a domain separately if you'd like to do so via the Domains Section of your account. You can purchase a domain name for as low as 29.95 with a 1-yr agreement. The price of the domain name decreases with longer-term agreements.
Check out the Domains Page here: http://members.webs.com/Members/Domai...
Hope that helps!

I have paid for a full year and works with several web sites. When I first registered an webs url regarding one of our sites that would be revised, we regret it and chose another company (the page is finished now). For Webs, we have decided to build another website with a new url. How do I turn on the right site and the (Webs)url with the already pre-paid account? Do not say that I have to pay a fee to change this, since I have not used any real url yet but only been using Webs working url. Also your help text is wrong, there is no "click on the link to Delete this website"
Site Deletion
Please Note: You'll need to log in using your Webs ID (Email Address) in order to see these options. Once you've deleted a website, it cannot be restored.
• Log into your account using your Email Address and Password.
• Click on the "Control Panel"
• Click "Website Settings"
• Scroll down and locate the "Other Settings" section within the sidebar.
• Click on the link to "Delete this Website". (where is this option?)

It's really annoying when Webly choose which account the "premium" should be on (if you has created more than one "website" to work with ) if you "only" has registered in Webs url.
-
-
Why not let people choose for themselves and when the page is published with the proper URL, then disappears Weblys url automatically and you have the page/account that you pointed to the real url and that will prevail in the future? Or this might work, but I do not find it on your website?

Hi Eva,
The option to delete an account will only appear on non-premium accounts as premium accounts cannot be deleted.
You'll need to downgrade your Premium account first, then follow the instructions to delete the account.
If you're interested in changing the URL of a preexisting account, you'll need to pay the $5 Username Change Fee: http://support.webs.com/webs/topics/h...
However if you're planning to create completely new site from scratch, you will avoid the need to change your username and forgo the fee.
Hope that helps!
