Hello Dave!
It appears your website is no longer online because the custom domain name has expired. A custom domain name must be renewed in order to continue using it as your site address. The domain name is offline and you may have difficulties trying to renew it because it has been more than 28 days since the domain name expired.
Please Note: The domain registrar will begin sending renewal notifications via email for your domain name 90 days before the domain name is set to expire. The notification is sent to the email address associated with the domain registrant in the Settings section of Domains in your account. The registrar is required to notify you starting at least 60 days before your domain is up for renewal.
If the domain was registered with us, we begin notifying our users starting 90 days before the domain expiration date via a message in the Site Manager of your webs.com account prompting you to renew your domain name. For a period of 15 days after the domain expires you will see a more urgent message prompting you to renew. Your website is also taken offline the day the domain expires. All of these procedures are put in place to give you every opportunity to renew the domain name before it expires.
If you do not want to renew the domain name, you can change your site address to your Webs.com address through the Site Settings section, and this will bring your site back online with your webs.com address.
Please let us know if you require additional assistance.-
Kim Bozman July 25, 2013 23:01I renewed my domain name www.sisalisbury.org in February 2013 for years through Webs.com, but Webs.com is telling me the domain name is expired. I have try to contact Webs.com with no success. I contact ENOM and they said the domain is showing valid through February 2015. How do I get my website to pull up using my domain name? When upgrading to a premium package with free domain name, is the domain name free for one year or two years? Is the renewal notification sent after the one/two years period when the domain name is no longer free? Does it then need to be renewed annually? How much would it cost for renewal?
-
The domain name is free for the length of your registration. If you subscribe for two years, you'll get a domain name free for two years. If you subscribe for one year, you'll get a domain name for one year.
You are notified of renewal several weeks prior to expiration, regardless of if it is a paid or free domain name. If your site is no longer subscribing to an annual premium package, then you will need to pay for the domain renewal.
Renewal cost depends on the length of time that you renew the domain name for and what TLD your domain is, but it usually starts at $29.95 for a one-year renewal.
There is no additional charge to host the domain name with Webs. -

Thank you for your reply, it is very informative.
I've got another query regarding the domain name please, is it transferrable out of Webs? That is, IF/WHEN I do decide to leave Webs can I bring the domain name with me? Is there any fee/charge for the transfer? Thanks to advise.-
Hello Bessieho,
You domain name is transferable after being registered for at least 60 days. You do not pay any additional expenses when transferring the domain to anther registrar. -

I've tried to find an answer to this question and just don't see it stated anywhere.
If I upgrade my free account to premium and register a domain name with you, will my current customers be redirected to my new site if they still use my old.webs URL? In other words, I don't want to lose old clients that have my .webs URL in their bookmarks or favorites. Thanks. Rob -

HI Rob,
Thanks for contacting us. Yes, if you upgrade your account and decide to use your domain name instead, your users will still be pushed to the same site.
Cheers!

My site has disappeared. The domain expired in May 2012, made payment to renew in August 2012....yet nothing.

I did a live chat with support and they issued me a ticket. Accorting to support, the domain is held for a period of time after it expires. It can't be renewed until it is released. They released my old domain and I am back up and running. Hope this helps and good luck.

Is it possible to transfer a domain name to another person? I do not want to keep the website or domain name but one of the other admins would like to take over the site. How do I make that happen?
-
-
So, if my domain expired several months ago, there is NO WAY to get the content back?
-
-
Gwen, I would love to have that answer. My domain name expired just a week ago, but my content isn't showing up and it seems I've lost all my formatting. This is rather urgent right now as I renewed the site so I could utilize it. Now I have nothing but a blank page at my domain name and can't get anything to publish to it that is visible, including the template/background. Very frustrating.

I hope someone can help. I do not wish to renew my domain name and would instead like to use it with another hosting site. Is this possible? I can't get the live chat to work so I'm asking here. Thanks!
