FAQ- Removing .htm from website urls. **Read First!!
How can I remove .htm from my website pages? I am using html site builder if it helps. I was told about .htaccess by someone from the websdotcom Twitter, but Webs doesn't allow uploads of files with . in the begining. Help?

Hi Jordan,
You can do this without using .htaccess. Please note that this can only be done on a new HTML-only account.
1. Create a directory (folder) for each of your pages.
2. Put yourpagename.html into the designated folder.
3. Rename that .html file to index.html.
You can give that a try. Please let me know if you have any success. -

I apologize for that Jordan. Hopefully this will clarify :-)
1. Log into your account
2. Click "Edit this site"
3. Click "New Folder" and name it "Blog Page" (for example)
4. Additionally create folders for your remaining pages.
5. Simply locate your files and insert them into the designated folder.
Example: "Blogpagefile.html" would go into the folder named "Blog Page"
6. Once the file has been placed into the folder, change the name of the file to index.html.
7. Do this for the remainder of your webpages.
-Hope that clarifies. -
