Image alt tags
why can't I add alt tags to images? I shouldn't have to bother with the html box to do it when something this basic should've already been there in the first place. :(

Hello!
Images do not have the option to edit the alt text. I'm going to make this into an idea so that others can share that they are interested.
There is a reply in this topic that shows how you can still edit the alt text using HTML in the meantime.-

I agree this should be easier, though it can easily be done especially if you also have a blog. For example, I have alt text for images at my site http://ebooksuccess4free.webs.com/. Just right click on the front image cover or those in the sidebar and see the alt text when you View Image Info.
I had to add the image as an HTML box after loading it onto my blog which creates a URL address for the image itself. Then you add the HTML text for the URL and the alt image text as well to make it work. I'm pretty sure if I type the exact alt text it might disappear in this box but I'll try below (so you may have to Google how to write alt text).

yep, the important parts disappear. just remove the ***'s in the following description

Is image link in there yet? I haven't tried. Just curious what options you have for images. FYI This idea would be handy. Alt sample:
I purposely put the "No image available" to be ironic. -

There new builder gives to you the ability to add alt tags.
On the builder page click on the picture.
In upper left hand corner click on link
Click on Lightbox
Check LightBox and enter the alt tag description in the box
Click on insert link
And it is all set, very easy to do!-
wow thank you... :D

Adding a text in the Lightbox is not generating any alt tags to the images; I have tried this, but when I am checking my alt tags, with any Alt Tag Checkers, there is no alt tags associated to my images!
So this is not a solution :( -
