Unable To Add Items

I have not been able to add items to my wish list for some time now. I've tried using the Wishpot button and I've tried doing it manually. I really like Wishpot, so it'd be great if you could help me with this situation!

Hi Amber,

This weekend we had a number of issues that were resulting in error messages when trying to add new items through the browser button. The issues aren't 100% resolved yet, but things should be substantially better right now. Please give it another shot and let me know if this issue persists.

Sorry for the trouble, and thank you for using Wishpot!

@vmburkhardt, do you mind me asking which browser did you use when you experienced the problem?
Thanks!

@vmburkhardt we've noticed some problems with Firefox that are difficult to reproduce, and only happen to some people. When you get the error does it say "The server has experienced an error" or does it say "The request is not valid"?

If the later ("request is not valid"), this is an issue which I think is related to a state firefox can get into with regard to cookies. It would be great if you could clear you cookies and give it another shot. Thanks, and sorry for the trouble!

Since there doesn't seem to be a solution to this problem I will just start the laborious process of moving all of my wish lists somewhere else.

Yes, everything was smooth with Firefox for me, while Safari still has a few hiccups.

If you have "Accept third-party cookies" uncheck in the Firefox privacy options, the "Add to Wishpot" button will NOT work. Be sure to add "wishpot.com" to your cookie exceptions with the "allow" setting. That solved it for me!

I solved this problem months ago by simply switching from Firefox to Chrome. I have not had a problem since. Thanks for your suggestion, Josh!

I've been having this problem for several months. I haven't changed anything and it used to work. I have been using Wishpot for years.

I have both Firefox and Safari. Firefox hasn't worked at all for months. Safari works occasionally. Often if I quit Safari then I can add a few items before it stops working again and I have to quit again.

Sometimes the box to add the item will come up, but then the item information will never load (the box stays blank/grayed out). That was happening for a while in Firefox but now I can't even remember the last time I got that far. This is what usually happens in Safari now.

My whole family started using Wishpot over the last few years since it was working so well for me, and now I'm looking at switching it all back over to a different service. My sister said she's been having the same problems as me, but that it usually works in Chrome so she just goes to Chrome to use it. I don't really want to add a third browser just for Wishpot.

I can add items manually in any browser but then the photos don't pull in, which isn't as fun, nor is it convenient as using the button.

I already checked the privacy options per the last response.

Help?
