Can't install on a new computer

  • Question
  • Updated 6 months ago
I have a problem, due to a massive computer crash ... it died ... I lost the install file for the Write or die desktop edition and I have a new computer now. I still have the mail which proves that I bought in my gmail inbox but of course the link in the mail doesn't work anymore. Is there any way that I can download it again, I really had a lot of fun using the program during Nanowrimo last November and I would love to continue using it.

Dr Wicked has a request new download link on the right side column of his blog http://writeordie.drwicked.com/
Look for single line under the social media links - Twitter, Facebook, etc

All you have to do is email
newlink@drwicked.com
to get a new install link straight away.

I have the same problem as this thread's author, and I emailed newlink@ months ago but I haven't gotten my link!

I thought the idea was that I could get new updates for this app forever since I bought it, but now I can't even reinstall the old version either.

This sucks.

I have gotten 2 computers since I replied to this problem in 2010. With no trouble at all, I located my original email and send a note to newlink@drwicked.com
Within an extremely short time, I got an automated response with a new link. I did need to download the free Adobe Air program to open downloaded Write or Die file, but in a couple minutes, I was typing rapidly within a fun little app.
