WWF Rivers, Lakes and Wetlands on the IWA WaterWiki

I would like to introduce myself as the new IWA WaterWiki Community Manager.

As you may know, IWA are launching a new Wiki based website for the global water community. I have been looking through the open-access materials you are currently hosting on your website and would very interested in publishing them on the IWA WaterWiki

WaterWiki is a permanent online information resource and we wish to make this site a valuable tool for groups such as users of the WWF Rivers, Lakes and Wetlands Resource.

A number of features have been identified on the site that might be useful for WWF resource users. These include:

- areas to share material and receive feed back over projects
- Somewhere to create your own pages summarizing results and findings from reports
- the ability to create a profile for yourself and for the organization
- a permanent site that will be useful to archive material that can be up-dated when new or helpful research is available
- a place to link existing web sites to a wider audience

There is room to create a whole new community area for WWF resource users on the site. Please visit www.iwawaterwiki.org to see the new site.

I have recently created a Wiki space for the EU funded Project Neptune which can be found here

http://iwawaterwiki.org/xwiki/bin/vie... .

With your consent I would like to do something similar for the Rivers, Lakes and Wetlands material.

If you have any questions about how the WWF could use the site – or any feedback on how you would like the Rivers, Lakes and Wetlands content to be featured on the wiki please do not hesitate to get in contact.

I look forward to hearing your comments.

Kind regards,

Chloe Parker
