Hi David,
Thanks for checking back (and for reminding me about our previous target date). While we had planned to push out Android this summer, we're still focused on ensuring the best user experience on iOS first. We want to get Android done as soon as possible, but given that it will use the iOS app as a point of reference, we still have some work to do.
I'll edit my original post/date to say TBD. I know that is vague, but as a startup it's hard to say when we will either hire someone to do this or re-task one of our developers to do this instead of something else.
If you sign up for our blog or follow our social media channels, we'll certainly push the announcement via all them when it is ready to go.
Thanks for your interest.

This would be a great idea... I'd totally use the Android one... iOS sucks. Android would really benefit from it, as it doesn't offer anything close to Younity whereas on iOS there are similar apps to that already, but I cannot wait until it is released on Android.

Please, think on Android. I know you have an important business on IOS but it's totally different the experience and the way of working.
Actually I think Android is becoming more useful in business and personal use than IOS. So I don't see sense in trying adapt it from IOS having totally different philosophies.
Regards,
Antonio

Hi Antonio. The issue behind Android is not its importance, rather we are a small team. It is simply a matter of us only being able to develop and support so many platforms. We also believe Android is critically important and it is one of our biggest priorities for the near term.
We hear you loud and clear and are doing our best to listen to our users and incorporate your feedback into our product roadmap. Android is coming.
Thanks for your input and your patience.

I appreciate that you answer me honestly and not the typical politically correct and stupid premade answers that many companies use to use nowadays.
Android community will keep waiting anxiously for some good news in next future from your side.
Best regards and keep going,
Antonio

totally support this the way the numbers are swinging I hope it wont be long before developers start producing apps for Android first and then roll out iOS from them. It was easy to see why people developed for iOS first when it was the dominant system but things have changed now. (not a criticism of your company - just a general comment)
Will watch for android version

Thanks for the recent votes on this feature. We agree, Android is huge and we need to do it. Our small team is working hard to make that a reality. Hope you'll all be patient.

I just ditched my iThings in lieu of the Google Nexus platform (not an advertisement here, just a true opinion - I'm not looking back...). The sooner you hop onto the Android bandwagon, the better. Well... for me... at least...

I would definitely love this for Android too, but only if it works smoothly and does what you claim. Good call on making sure that you can do it properly before releasing it to the ignorant masses such as myself :-)

The idea behind app is great but the problem is the app still unknown for most of users, because of being only available in App store . plz keep in mind that the majority of smart phone user are android user (%70) so you better support Android as soon as possible if you want your app to be existed and well-known for people or you would end up losing your business and the other would do the same idea in android

Another vote for Android. I do not have an iPhone or iPad. That's why I have not downloaded the last step with younity. I would like to do that so that I could see my files, but I can't do that until Android happens. Also, I would love to see my files on my two PC's -- my desktop and my laptop: PC to PC!!
Thanks for your efforts!

thanks for your reply Antonio. You're probably right, but I feel bad for the guys who started the idea for this app. I guess they should have started with the Android platform and then moved to Apple once established

All, as mentioned throughout this thread, we intend to add Android in the future but have no release date at this time. We'll notify those following our social media channels when it is available. We appreciate your interest in an Android version of our software, we too look forward to expanding our supported platforms. Thanks.
