I used to be able to play my playlists, but recently I can't get them to play. It should be obvious that there is a problem in YouTube land, but they haven't fixed it and don't have an answer that I can find.

Is there a "Play" button somewhere I'm missing?? What's the use in having playlists if you can't play them????

YouTube changed things and I guess forgot to tell people.

Here's the way to play your playlists:

After you've logged in click your login name at the top of the screen. Then click "Playlists" at the top. Then "Play All" next to playlist.

THANKS! :-) I didn't have the playlists loaded (mine were "private view") so I couldn't play 'em that way, but thanks for the reply, for those who have the private view for playlist instead of public view, here's your answer--COOOL:

ANSWER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJ8qK9....

Watch this video! this chick figured out how to buck the system--when you first get to your PLAYLISTS area, just delete the 2 from where it says like playlist_2 or whatever it says and voila BAM you can play your playlists! she deserves a gold star. thank you and I hope this helps everyone!

embedded playlists don't seem to be working still though.

does anyone have an embedded playlist on a site like myspace or something that just plays the first video and then stops? i don't even see the videos on my playlist anymore when i hover over the bottom.

i have been sobbing uncontrollably since i found this out yesterday.

Can you provide a link to a broken embedded playlist?

The profile pages were redesigned and removing the play all button was not going to be part of that redesign. ;) Sorry for the inconvenience.

For auto-playing a playlist from someone's channel (Youtube original auto-playing):

1) Click the Playlists link on the Subscribe bar of the User's channel

2) At the right pane, click on the playlist you want to play

3) Click the More Info link
{
You may have noticed that your address/navigation bar has a different address now,
similar to the one that is on the URL address from this page
}

4) Copy this to your clipboard (select it and press CTRL+C): https://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=

5) Select the text on your address bar before the last / (including it)
{
E.g.: From the addresses below, I would select the bold part:
https://www.youtube.com/user/GouAlex#g/c/5D9D50309405313F
OR
https://www.youtube.com/user/GouAlex#g...5D9D50309405313F
}
And Paste what you have copied to the clipboard by pressing CTRL+V
{
Your final address will be something like this:
https://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5D9D50309405313F
}

6) Press the Enter button

7) Click on the Play All Videos link

And you're done!

*Note: You may have noticed that the More Info URL gives you the option of retrieving the Playlist's Identification (PL's ID) to access to the playlist itself (for e.g. my PL's ID is 5D9D50309405313F).

That's all you need to get it playing!

So you can save that ID on your computer and just by adding https://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p= before the ID on your address bar, you can Play it any time.

**Other Note: If Youtube by any chance removes the Play All Videos link from there, you may still be able to play the PL with this address:
[1st Video link of the PL's URL]&feature=PlayList&p=[PL's ID]&index=0&playnext=1

E.g.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM-_hz...&feature=PlayList&p=5D9D50309405313F&index=0&playnext=1

this worked, but seems ridiculously complicated when I could, in the past, go to someone's channel, select a playlist, and it played from one video to the next seamlessly. This doesn't make any sense to me why it's way more steps etc. Anyways thanks for this option.

Here is a simpler way based on your example, Create a new bookmark and paste this code into the bookmark URL:

javascript:var%20pid=prompt("Enter%20the%20Playlist%20ID");!pid?document.location.replace(document.location.href):document.location.href="http:"+"//"+"www"+"."+"youtube"+"."+"com/view_play_list?p="+pid;

Click OK to save it.

Now,

1. Go to the playlist and copy the playlist ID to the clipboard. The playlist id is the long number at the end of the URL.
2. Click on the bookmark you just created and paste in the ID
3. Click OK

FYI This is a bookmarklet.

Check this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-wBrL...

It demonstrates the steps I've explained above.
But if after seeing it, you can't still get it working, give me the channel that has that playlist and I'll give you the proper link :)

I can't understand your question. What do you mean by:
"play my playlist withouth it load again on youtubre" ?

If you know the ID of the playlist, just copy&paste this to the address bar:
https://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=
place the ID after the = and then press Enter.

Import your youtube playlist on http://www.player4you.com. With this player you have more options to play your playlist (e.g crossfader)

Here is how I did it, and it is simple to do although YOUTUBE should fix it with a dedicated button instead of useless work arounds. I went to the search button and entered Frank Sinatra , clicked Did it my Way which came up as its supposed to with autoplay being showed as off, I turned it on and then went to another artist that wasn't working before and now the new one comes up showing the autoplay and shuffle function button, both off of course in that weird youtube logic, turn the off button to on and it now is continuous play. Not the best solution but it is simple enough that you won't have your knickers in a bunch.

If you do a search for a popular artist like Frank Sinatra, normally when you click the first video of that search (in your case "My Way" song), Youtube automatically generates a "Frank Sinatra Mix" playlist with autoplay and shuffle buttons.
When you do a search for a not so well known artist, normally this "Mix" playlist doesn't appear. So in these cases you have two alternatives:
● create your own playlist with the videos you find from that artist or
● in the list that appear when you do the search, look for a blue button near a video saying "PLAYLIST" and click it. This will present you a full list of available playlists on youtube. Then you just need to click the first one you want to watch :)

What I explained in the other post is different: it's the way to access to any playlist of any Youtuber, popular or not, through his/her channel.

apparently this is a very old problem... which I have never had until now. I am use to seeing MY playlist on the right side of screen and being able to skip or move to another song on MY list and keep autoplay going. I do have a "play all button" that did play like the first 40 songs... but then stopped and I can't get it going... But I'm use to just going to a song I want and starting my list from there... I don't have the shuffle feature either...
sorry just so frustrated...

After starting to play the first video any playlist now a grey bar appears on the bottom of your window.Bring your mouse here and you will see all videos of the playlist and the playing one is indicated. On right bottom there is a switch to change to auto play.To copy the playlist is easy.Just clear your favorite folders and click on each video of the list and add this video to your favorites.
The ones you do not like of the playlist just skip.You do not have to stop any video it happens automatically when you click the next wanted video.
Very good this new grey beam.

I have the correct FIX for this issue.

1) Click on '-your username-' at the top right (with the down-arrowed button), next to the 'Sign Out' button.
2) Then, click on 'My Videos'. This will take you to a page called 'My Videos & Playlists'. Here you will see on the right pane, a list of your videos and playlists.
3) Select the desired playlist and click on it. This will show you your selected playlist. Check the desired tracks (or click on 'Select All') and click 'Play All'. This option will play your playlist, just like the old YouTube did.

Enjoy!

If you found this helpful, please send hits to my little channel: KatariaGujjar - https://www.youtube.com/user/KatariaGu...

Samid, that works if you are logged in and if you only want to watch your playlists.

If you want to watch others playlists, you may have to use the ID method I referred above.

And in looking at your channel, you have the same problem. When I click on any of your videos, it takes me off your channel to a generic list. All I want is my videos to play from my channel; the one's we took the time to create.

The way to "play all" isn't intuitive at all, anymore. I have to click my name at the top right, click "favorites" and then I can access my playlists. There should be a way to get right to my playlist and play it. This is a retarded workaround.

When you have created your playlist on youtube you can import it on http://www.player4you.com. This player is better for parties than the youtube website.
